Lucas was bred and purchased with the intent of doing high level dressage and show events. It was discovered at a young age that he suffered from a disease called DSLD (Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Desmitis) a condition that affects the connective tissue of the lower limbs. It is not advisable to ride horses with this condition and his owner was going to have him euthanized because Lucas was not rideable. (A sad reality for many horses.) He is working with a trainer to become more relaxed. Our main intention for his training is for him to understand that we ask nothing of him in terms of work; only to be a horse. Lucas is a handsome young horse and is learning his manners, in spite of his mischievous nature.
