About the Role
This position is a very important one, as health care and medical treatments are crucial to keeping our rescued animal family healthy and happy. This is a hands-on role, and you’ll be working directly with the animals, administering medication and supplements, doing health checks, being present and assisting veterinarians at visits, and working with ED on determining best ongoing care protocol for our residents. You’ll play an essential part in maintaining a high standard of compassionate, consistent care—including when a supervisor is not present. The job duties are flexible to enable us to respond to the needs of the organization, so working with volunteers and other staff as well as interacting with the public will also be a part of the job. Some driving will also be required, as well as feeding and cleaning when needed.
